A multi-team event creates more media opportunities and more risk of misidentification, missing permission, and misleading context. Catholic Parish League Phoenix should plan credentials, consent, team naming, file handling, captions, and rapid result verification before cameras arrive.
This is a media-planning guide for a possible future tournament. It does not authorize photography at a specific event.
Designate approved media roles
Identify who may work inside restricted areas, who supervises media, and how photographers can be recognized. Permission to attend does not permit someone to obstruct officials, enter team areas, or ignore site rules.
Create a team and field reference
Photographers and editors need correct team names, colors, crests, field assignments, and match numbers. A simple reference reduces the risk of attaching an image to the wrong parish or result.
Plan consent and privacy
Provide event notice, follow the league’s process for children and identifiable participants, and create a way to raise a concern. Do not assume that a large event eliminates individual privacy or safety considerations.
Verify fast-moving content
Live or same-day posts should use only confirmed scores and event status. A photo of a celebration does not establish the winner, and a bracket graphic should not advance a team before the official result is recorded.
Preserve and organize files
Store originals by date, match, and source; record credit and restrictions; create accessible captions; and avoid relying on social-media downloads as the only archive.
Next step
Publish a media notice and operational plan before any future tournament, then brief every approved contributor.
Create safe media positions
Designated photo areas should protect photographers from active play and prevent them from blocking teams, officials, accessible routes, or spectators. A credential does not authorize someone to enter the field or team bench area.
